1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how S.C. MASAT DIGITAL S.R.L. (“MASAT”) uses cookies and similar technologies on the website www.masat.ro and in the application https://app.masat.ro. It applies together with our Privacy Policy.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to recognise your device, remember preferences, keep you signed in and analyse traffic. We also use similar technologies: local storage, session storage and, in the case of measurement tools, tracking pixels.

3. Legal basis

Strictly necessary cookies are placed without consent, under Art. 4(5)(b) of Romanian Law no. 506/2004, being indispensable to providing the service you requested.

All other cookies — analytics, marketing and non-essential preferences — are placed only with your prior consent, under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Consent must be given actively, and refusing must be as easy as accepting.

4. Categories of cookies we use

a) Strictly necessary. They make the basic service work: signing in to the application, keeping your session, security, load balancing and remembering your cookie choice. Without them the platform does not function.

b) Preferences. They remember your settings: language (RO/EN), theme, list and filter display.

c) Analytics and performance. They help us understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, where visitors come from, where they run into difficulty. The data is used in aggregate form.

d) Marketing and advertising. Placed by partners to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and to show relevant ads.

5. The cookies and pixels currently in use

  • wp-wpml_current_language — WPML — preferences — remembers the selected language — session to 1 year.
  • wordpress_test_cookie and WordPress session cookies — strictly necessary — site operation and administrator sign-in — session.
  • Meta Pixel (_fbp, fr) — Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. — marketing — measuring advertising campaigns — up to 3 months.
  • YouTube video embeds — Google Ireland Ltd. — marketing — we embed videos through youtube-nocookie.com, which sets no tracking cookies until you press play.

In the application https://app.masat.ro

  • Authentication and session cookies — MASAT — strictly necessary — keep you signed in — session or until sign-out.
  • Language and interface preference cookies — MASAT — preferences — up to 12 months.
  • __stripe_mid, __stripe_sid — Stripe — strictly necessary / fraud prevention — securing payments — session to 1 year.

We keep this list up to date whenever we add or remove a tool that uses cookies.

6. Third-party cookies

Some cookies are placed by third-party providers, who act as independent or joint controllers for that processing:

  • Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. — Meta Pixel;
  • Google Ireland Ltd. — YouTube video embeds, in no-cookie mode;
  • Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. — payment processing and fraud prevention.

7. Managing your consent

Through the preferences banner. On your first visit we show you a banner where you can accept everything, reject everything, or choose category by category. Rejecting is exactly as easy as accepting. You can return to that choice at any time through the Cookie preferences link in the website footer; withdrawing consent is as simple as giving it and takes effect for the future.

By writing to us. You can ask us at any time to stop using non-essential cookies in connection with your visits, by e-mailing office@masat.ro.

From your browser. You can block or delete cookies from your browser settings:

  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

You can also opt out of advertising personalisation directly in your Meta account settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies may make the application unusable.

8. Security of data collected through cookies

The cookies we use contain no passwords, card details or eMAG integration credentials. Authentication data in the application is encrypted and protected as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Updates to this policy

We update this Policy whenever we add or remove tools that use cookies. The date of the last revision appears at the top of the document.
