Affiliate Program Terms

1. What these terms cover

These Affiliate Program Terms (the “Terms”) govern participation in the MASAT Partner Program, operated by S.C. MASAT DIGITAL S.R.L. (“MASAT”, “We”), Tax ID (CUI) 52437661, Trade Registry No. J2025066544008, with its registered office in Ilfov County, Bragadiru, 59 Ghidiceni Street.

They apply in addition to the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy. By submitting an application, you confirm that you have read and accept these Terms.

2. Who can become an affiliate

The Program is open exclusively to legal entities and authorised persons — companies (SRL), PFA, II or IF, whether Romanian or from another EU state — able to issue an invoice for the commissions earned. Applications from private individuals who cannot invoice are not accepted.

You must be at least 18 years old, hold a valid VAT/tax identification, and act in your own name and on your own account.

Affiliates who are also MASAT customers may take part, but see the self-referral rule in Section 8.

3. Application and approval

You apply through the form on the Affiliate Program page. We review applications and communicate a decision, as a rule, within 48 hours.

Approval is discretionary. We may decline an application, or later close an account, without being required to give reasons — for example where the promotion channel does not fit the MASAT audience, where the content conflicts with our values, or where we identify a risk of fraud. A decline is not a judgement about you or your business.

Once approved, you receive an account in FirstPromoter, a unique referral link and a 20% discount code for your audience.

4. Commissions

Tier 1 — direct referrals. You earn a 10% recurring commission on every payment made by a customer who subscribes through your link or discount code, for as long as that subscription remains active and paid.

Tier 2 — override. Where a customer you referred becomes an affiliate in turn and brings in their own customers, you earn a 2% override on the revenue generated by those second-level referrals, for as long as those subscriptions remain active and paid.

What the commission is calculated on. The commission applies to the net amount actually collected by MASAT — that is, the subscription value after the discount applied, excluding VAT, and after deducting payment processing fees, refunds and chargebacks.

There is no cap on earnings or on the number of referrals.

MASAT may change commission rates for the future, with at least 30 days’ notice by e-mail. A change never affects commissions already accrued, and referrals attributed before the change keep their original rate for 12 months from the date of the change.

5. Attribution

A referral is attributed to you if the customer creates a MASAT account and subscribes within 30 calendar days of clicking your referral link, or if they use your discount code at checkout.

Tracking is handled by FirstPromoter, integrated with Stripe. Where more than one affiliate could claim a referral, the last link clicked before the subscription wins. Where a discount code and a link point to different affiliates, the discount code wins.

Attribution depends on the customer’s browser accepting cookies and on not clearing them before subscribing. We cannot guarantee attribution in cases beyond our control — ad blockers, privacy browsers, a device change between click and subscription. Commissions are payable only for referrals actually recorded in FirstPromoter, and the records of that platform, together with Stripe’s, are the reference in the event of a discrepancy.

6. Reversals and cancellations

A commission becomes confirmed after the refund window applicable to the referred customer’s payment has expired — as a rule, 14 days from that payment.

Commissions are reversed in the following cases:

  • the referred customer obtains a refund, in whole or in part, under the Refund and Cancellation Policy;
  • the payment is subject to a chargeback or is reversed by the payment processor;
  • the subscription proves to be fraudulent, a duplicate, or created for the purpose of generating commission;
  • the referral was obtained in breach of Sections 8 or 9.

A reversed commission is deducted from your next balance. If the balance is insufficient, the outstanding amount is carried forward against future commissions. We do not ask you to return amounts already paid unless fraud is involved.

7. Payment

  • Payments are made monthly, once your confirmed balance reaches the €50 threshold. Below that threshold, the balance carries over to the following month.
  • Payment is made by bank transfer or PayPal, to the details you provide in FirstPromoter.
  • Before payment, you issue an invoice to MASAT Digital S.R.L. for the confirmed amount. VAT is applied according to your tax status and the applicable rules, including the reverse charge mechanism for EU affiliates with a valid VAT number.
  • Payment is made within 15 business days of receipt of a correct invoice.
  • Bank transfer or PayPal fees, currency conversion costs and any taxes owed in your country of residence are borne by you.
  • You are solely responsible for declaring and paying the taxes owed on the income earned.

8. Promotion rules

What you may do: share your link and discount code on your own channels — website, blog, newsletter, social accounts, communities you administer, courses and webinars; write reviews, comparisons and tutorials; run paid advertising on your own channels, in accordance with the rule below.

What you may not do:

  • Bid on the MASAT brand. You may not bid in Google Ads, Meta Ads or any other advertising platform on the keyword “MASAT”, on variations, misspellings or combinations of it (for example “masat.ro”, “masat pret”, “masat review”), and you may not use the brand in the display URL of an advertisement. An exception is possible only with our prior written agreement, requested at office@masat.ro. Other paid advertising is permitted.
  • Impersonate the brand. You may not register domains, subdomains, social accounts, groups or applications containing “MASAT” or a confusingly similar name, and you may not present yourself as MASAT, as an employee or as an official representative.
  • Self-refer. You may not use your own link or code for your own subscription or for that of a company you control, nor may you arrange reciprocal referrals with another affiliate.
  • Spam. No unsolicited e-mail, mass private messaging, comment spam, or posting in communities where promotion is not permitted.
  • Publish coupon codes on aggregator sites — coupon, deal or cashback sites — without our prior written agreement.
  • Make false statements about MASAT’s features, results or prices; promise revenue or specific commercial results; or present the 20% discount as combinable with other offers, since it is not.
  • Associate the brand with illegal, discriminatory, sexually explicit or violent content, or with content that infringes third-party rights.
  • Modify the referral link or the code so as to conceal the source of the traffic, or use redirects, iframes, cookie stuffing or automated scripts.

9. Use of the brand and materials

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable and non-transferable licence to use the MASAT name, logo and promotional materials we provide (banners, e-mail templates, presentations), solely for promoting the Program.

You may not alter the logo, its colours or its proportions, and you may not use the brand in any way that suggests a partnership beyond the affiliate relationship. The licence ends automatically when your participation ends, and you have 7 days to remove the materials.

Transparency towards your audience. You must state clearly and visibly that your link is an affiliate link and that you earn a commission, wherever the law requires it and in any case on your own channels. This is both a legal obligation and a matter of trust with your audience.

10. Personal data

To administer the Program, we process your identification, contact and payment data, along with performance data. The details, legal bases and your rights are set out in the Privacy Policy. FirstPromoter and Stripe act as our sub-processors and are listed at masat.ro/sub-processors.

You do not receive personal data about the customers you refer. You see only aggregated statistics in your FirstPromoter dashboard: number of clicks, sign-ups, conversions and commissions.

11. Independence of the parties

Participation in the Program does not create an employment relationship, a mandate, an agency, a partnership or a joint venture between you and MASAT. You act as an independent contractor, you bear your own costs and you are free to promote other products, including competing ones, provided you do not breach Section 8.

You have no authority to make commitments in MASAT’s name, to negotiate prices, to grant discounts beyond the code assigned to you, or to conclude contracts on our behalf.

12. Suspension and termination

You may leave the Program at any time, by writing to office@masat.ro. Confirmed commissions accrued up to that point are paid on the normal schedule, including where the balance is below the €50 threshold.

We may suspend or terminate your participation:

  • with 15 days’ notice, without cause;
  • immediately, in the event of a breach of Sections 8 or 9, of fraud, or of conduct that harms MASAT’s reputation.

In the event of termination for fraud or serious breach, unconfirmed commissions are forfeited and we reserve the right to recover amounts already paid in respect of fraudulent referrals.

MASAT may discontinue the Program in its entirety, with 30 days’ notice. In that case, all confirmed commissions are paid, and Tier 1 and Tier 2 commissions on active subscriptions continue to be paid for a further 3 months.

13. Liability

MASAT is not liable for interruptions to tracking caused by FirstPromoter, Stripe or by the customer’s browser, for referrals not recorded for reasons outside our control, or for the costs you incur in promotion.

MASAT’s total liability towards an affiliate is limited to the confirmed commissions payable and unpaid at the time the claim arises.

You are liable for any damage caused to MASAT by a breach of these Terms, including by claims from third parties or authorities arising from the way you promoted the Program.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may amend these Terms. Substantial changes — in particular to commission rates, the attribution window, the payment threshold or the promotion rules — are notified by e-mail at least 30 days in advance. Continued participation after that date constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept, you may leave the Program under Section 12.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Romanian law. Disputes are resolved amicably within 15 business days of written notification and, failing that, by the competent courts at MASAT’s registered office, in Ilfov County, Romania.
